Range anxiety, the fear of running out of charge with nowhere to plug in, was once the top reason people hesitated to buy an electric vehicle. It’s a fair concern, but the landscape has changed substantially in just the past few years.
Public charging networks have expanded into rural areas and along major highway corridors, and most new EVs now offer well over 250 miles of real-world range, more than enough for the vast majority of daily driving.
For most owners, especially those who charge at home overnight, range anxiety fades quickly after the first few weeks of ownership once the actual charging routine becomes second nature.
